Another post to create discussion especially as the info graphic does not go into detail. In a sedentary world of inhibited gluteal muscles a little work specific work is required in the derrière. Yoga can be good for motor control, balances good for the glut medius, the deep six can be well maintained, but the huge mass of muscle that makes up the gluteus maximum and important in the posterior oblique sling is poorly served. This can lead to common yoga injuries such as sacroiliac joint dysfunction, lower back instability, knee injury, etc. Also not having good glutes does not serve us in daily life. So, I think that if yoga is your only exercise then modify it to add in some proper glute work or just add it in at another time. ▪️The gracilis muscle is a long, strap-like muscle that takes origin from the pubic bone and inserts on the medial aspect of the tibia (in-side of your knee). It’s responsible for hip adduction, assists with knee flexion, knee stabilization and knee rotation.
▪️It is part of the inner thigh muscles group called the adductors (close the legs when apart /moving toward center of the body). It also provides stability and position changes to the lower pelvis. ▪️If you didn’t know it is the 2nd longest muscle in the body.
▪️For the male athlete ⛹🏼⛷…..when you strain your groin you gracilis does indeed become affected. 🔷Also if you didn’t know the insertion point of the gracilis is typically harvested for ACL reconstructive repair. --------------------------------

Deactivating traps & scalenes on fixed dip bar to relieve headaches, neck tension, & over-active muscles. [READ 👇🏽]
I'll be sharing here the "homework" exercises @dr.beauhightower taught me for my frequent headaches & upper-body tension.
These are the exercises I was prescribed after my Ortho-Therapy treatment (I'll post video on my page: @laisdeleon) to keep myself healthy.

To perform this deactivation exercise position yourself under the dip bar with the bar on your trapezius muscle. Stand up into the bar so the bar is applying pressure on the muscle. Hold for about 30 seconds.
If you are very tight in that area as I am, it may be a bit painful but you'll feel the pain slowly subsiding and that's an indicator of deactivation in the muscle.
Repeat on the other side.
Play around with the angle of the bar and your body in relation to the bar to target different parts of the muscle. Try it!
